Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium has served as Chattanooga’s community meeting place for over 80 years. Located in the downtown area, Memorial Auditorium is one of the premier concert and performing arts venues in the region. It is also available for meetings, conventions, receptions and trade shows.

Chattanooga Memorial Auditorium

Dedicated in 1924 as a living memorial to Hamilton County war veterans, Memorial Auditorium underwent an extensive renovation in the 1990s that elevated the facility’s technical and support systems to today’s standards while preserving the historic landmark’s original architectural elegance.

The Auditorium houses two theaters. The spacious main hall, with its massive stage, seats 3,866, while the Community Theatre, which seats 1,012, offers a more intimate setting for lectures and awards programs. The Community Theatre is located just up the escalator from the main lobby.

The Exhibit Hall on the basement level has 9,600 square feet of display space, adequate for small trade shows and banquets serving up to 400 people. The hall is complemented by an expansive outer concourse, restrooms and a permanent concession stand. Public access is via escalator from the main lobby, or through basement level entrances. Street-level loading doors allow truck access into the exhibit area for easy set-up and take-down.

Adjacent to the Exhibit Hall, dressing rooms and show offices convert easily to meeting rooms and lounges and additional breakout spaces and meeting rooms are located on the three upper levels.
