Hunter Museum of American Art
With its magnificent view of the Tennessee River, the Walnut Street Bridge and the North Shore, the Hunter Museum of American Art captures the very essence of Chattanooga’s scenic beauty. With easy access to downtown accommodations and other attractions, the Hunter offers unlimited possibilities for your event. Your guests can stroll down the Riverfront and then visit our galleries or you may use the Museum to host a formal evening event. Either way, no visit to Chattanooga is complete without a visit to the Hunter.
Whether your event is an intimate gathering of 50 or a party for 500, a corporate gathering or a wedding, the Hunter Museum’s breathtaking location will amaze your guests. The Hunter offers several versatile event spaces. Possibilities abound with the Museum’s two indoor spaces, the Lobby and the Auditorium, which provide 4,000 square feet. The two outdoor spaces, the River and Paley Terraces, offer 10,000 square feet. You may even have your guests tour the Museum’s galleries during your event. The auditorium can accommodate up to 50 people for a weekday luncheon or 85 people for a presentation. Evening rentals are available on every day of the week except Thursdays. Museum spaces cannot be rented separately on Saturday evenings from April to October.
