Hyperflite will stage this year’s Skyhoundz World Championship to support the adoption and fundraising efforts of Chattanooga’s own McKamey Animal Center. According to Peter Bloeme, Director of the Skyhoundz Series, "Many of the canine athletes competing at the World Championship were rescued from animal shelters."
Hyperflite is committed to developing the safest, best-flying, and most durable canine discs in the world. Its’ support of the Skyhoundz World Canine Disc Championship series ensures that disc-dog enthusiasts world-wide will have exciting venues in which to compete.
“We’re excited to be hosting the Skyhoundz World Championships again this year and for the opportunity to showcase Chattanooga to hundreds of dog-handlers and dog enthusiasts from around the world. This event adds to the intensity and density of the NorthShore District and with the new location in Coolidge Park, it provides a great way for people to get out and enjoy the outdoors,” said Bob Doak, President & CEO of the Chattanooga Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Over the three-day event, we expect thousands of spectators. More than 200 competitors along with their spouses, family, and supporters will leave an estimated economic impact of over $373,500.”
Hyperflite sparked a canine disc revolution when it released the Jawz disc — the world’s toughest canine competition disc designed especially for dentally-obsessive canines. Hyperflite’s training products, Disc Dogs! The Complete Guide (350 pages, 500 color photos) and Disc Dogs! Training DVD (an hour-long instructional DVD) have introduced thousands to the health and exercise benefits of canine disc play. You can also download Hyperflite’s new interactive disc dog training book, Disc Dogs Rock! from Apple’s iBookstore.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Only competing canines will be permitted in Coolidge Park during the World Championship.
