Courtney Holder is a Singer/Songwriter, performing artist and experienced session vocalist from Chattanooga, TN. She started writing at a young age and has since earned recognition by placing in the top 10% of writers at the 2015 NSAI Spring Training and won a songwriting competition in Huntsville, AL, which gave her the opportunity to co-write with multi-hit songwriter Clay Mills. She has also had the pleasure of co-writing with twice Grammy-nominated songwriter, Jan Buckingham. Playing over 100 live shows a year, she has shared her songs at venues all over the South-East, one being the Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN. Because her inspirations come from diverse genres, Courtney’s story-teller writing style is unique. Her catchy Americana and Pop songs are never lacking soulful flavor. In 2016, Courtney’s band Hive Theory was born. While fronting this Pop/Funk band, Courtney has gained larger stage experience. In March of 2018, Hive Theory won Road to Nightfall, a “Battle of the Bands” in Chattanooga, and had the opportunity to play at the city’s newest venue, The Signal. Later this year, they will be playing the Riverbend Festival and will headline the Nightfall Music Series.
