Tom Morello has announced he is hitting the road this summer on a brand new tour where he’ll be playing full songs of his recently released collaborative album, The Atlas Underground with an immersive live production designed by creative director Sean Evans.Of the tour, Morello describes, “The Atlas Underground Tour is one part Marshall stack guitar madness and one part bass drop meltdown. The show will be an intense sonic and visual ‘less talk, more rock’ experience that’s somewhere between a crazy mosh pit, an illegal rave, a subversive art installation, and a prison riot.”After embarking on an interactive talking tour, Morello is looking forward to getting back to a full live concert performance. Kicking off March 29 at Ultra Music Festival in Miami the tour will run through May 18 alongside multiple festival appearances including Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, Welcome to Rockville, Epicenter Festival and Bassnectar’s End Of The Rainbow Festival. See below for full tour itinerary. The Atlas Underground marked Morello’s most ambitious artistic effort of his storied career, which includes being co-founder of Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave and Prophets of Rage. The album left critics raving with Rolling Stone praising, “A rap-rock/EDM throwdown and the results are explosive,” LA Weekly lauds, “a cohesive piece of work that sounds fresh and new.
